In my opinion the best leader in WWII was Hitler. Not because of who he was, but more of what he was able to do. Like persuade most of the people in Germany that he would be a good leader for the suffering country. And maybe that is why they chose him, just like Huey Long promising financial freedom. Hitler, on the other hand, was probably the most sickest of all leaders to.
I think Germany had the best leader, Hitler. He was the strongest because he was so powerful with his words to get people to agree with him.
I think Benito Mussolini was a great leader in world war. He improved the Italian economy and brought stability to Italy.
i think hitler was the best leader. he easily persuaded the people of Germany with his powerful speeches. he also got the country out of a deperession that was worse than in the US in less time that it took us. even though he killed millions of people, he did some great things for Germany and its people.
i think that the USA had the best leader during World War II. he defended our country when it needed to be defended and he got out country out of the depression.
i think the US had a great leader. He pulled the US out of what Hoover got us into and he made the decision to go into war and defend the innocent people. However, Hitler was the best because with his confidence he made everyone love him and everyone in Germany wanted to follow him. It was a piece of cake for him.
I think that the US had the best leader during WWII. FDR pulled the US out of the depression, and kept it out of a depression during the war. If he wasn't a great leader, then he wouldn't have been re-elected so many times.
Winston Churchill was also a great leader. Though not popular during peace time, he was great during WWII. He proved to be a very strong leader even as Britain was facing defeat. His refusal to surrender, leadership, and inspirational speeches allowed Britain to avoid defeat until the United States entered the war to aid them.
I think Germany had great leader. Hitler achieved getting people on his side being a great speaker by his word choice even though all the actions he took were not morally correct. However i also think that the U.S. had a good leader. That is becuase roosevelt brought us out of the mess that happened while hoover was president but i thought he could of taken more action to prevent the attacks on pearl harbor and not wait for a reason to get in to the war.Anthony Fitch
Well, although most people have some good points for Hitler, I think I'll have to go with Abram on this one. Winston Churchill was a stud. He was a very passionate speaker, so I added a couple quotes, so you can see the studliness for yourself."Today we may say aloud before an awe-struck world: We are still masters of our fate. We are still captain of our souls." "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last." "If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favourable reference to the devil in the House of Commons."Told you so.~Grace Page
I would say that Britain had the strongest leader during the war because he inspired the country to never give up and keep on fighting even while the country was being pounded by the German Air Korps, making him just as good as Hitler with wielding words to do things with them.
I will have to say that Winston Churchill was the greatest leader. He was a very strong speaker during WWII. He lead Britain through the war with courage and strength. He gave people hope through insperational speeches. He would not let his country give up in their darkest hours of the war during the battle of Britain. He would not let his country be defeated by land, sea or air.Ryan Carey
i believe that hitler was the best leader during ww2. he was an awesome persausive leader and brought his country out a greater depression than ours. in my view, a great leader is one who keeps his promises and has good strategies in doing so. hitler was a priceless leader, although he did cowardly bail at the end of the war through suicide. oh well i guess!
just testing if it works!
When going by the definintion of the word leader and the qualities that make a great leader, FDR should be considered the strongest. Good leaders are committed and through 12 years as the president, FDR proved he was committed and dedicated. Also, leaders are open to change. FDR hated war, but he eventually realized that the US entering the conflict was necessary.
I hate to say this but I believe that Hitler was the best leader during WWII. This is simply becuase he persuaded his people to follow him, worship him, and have faith in him no matter what he did to innocent bystanders. He killed so many people and yet people still loved him while others absolutely hated him and wanted his head on a post.
I think Winston Churchill was the best leader of WWII. This is not because of what abrum said or grace said or even Roman said because i didn't even read what they said about him. Personally i think Churchill is the best because he stood up against the germans when no one else was there to help. He kept his country away from germany and when drasticlly hurt assissted the US as much as he could.
The German - I was really surprised to read that some of you think Hitler was the greates leader during WWII. It was kind of shoking. How can somebody who doesn't care about anything but his own interest (killing people and expanding borders) be a great leader? Is commiting suicide a thing that makes someone a great leader? Does killing everyone who opposed to your cause make you a great leader? Does ruining Germany, Great Britain, Russia, France .... make you a great leader?Maybe I don't understand the word leader, but to me a GREAT (not efficient or extremely intelligent) Leader has to show strength, sanity, charisma (...) and most important he has to want (and get) the best for his people! He has to return their faith in him, be optimistic and encourage them in dark times.Hitler, as far as I know, only achieved the contrary.(1.)Churchill, (2.)FDR, and (3.)de Gaulles were all very good leaders. They all (de gaulles and chruchill) did the right thing in never ever surrendering to a man like Hitler. They lead their countries as strong and determined men who served on behalf of liberty, justice and peace.
by the way .. i really get crazy when i read that hitler did great things for germany (or anything else)! it's time to wake up and use some brain ...........
David Wins!!!!!!I was waiting for someone to say the above comment. My faith in the future of the world has been restored. I was hoping that someone would have the courage to say what is written in the above comment and it finally happened. I am relieved but still concerend. Maybe it is because we are only half way through the unit but I was concerned about the comment I was reading. While, Hitler maybe gave a slight apperance of doing "good things" it must alway be remebered that his true intentions were wrong, immoral and any precieved good was a deception. we will talk more about it later in the unit. I can sleep well tonight.
I think Hitler was the best leader, even though his beliefs were wrong and evil. He was the best leader because he was powerful and made somehow convinced a whole country to have his same crazy beliefs. *Lindsie*
yeah i agree with the german kinda. i mean yeah Hitler was a crazy radical person that got millions (well i think millions) of people to follow his evil plan, because of his charistmic (can not spell tonight) attitude, i mean yeah so he brain washed everyone, but i just am in love with FDR. I mean, the US is always known for looking for the better of the country rather than focusing on other peoples problems (well that's what i've been told) and i mean FDR got the US out of the depression, he had many great ideas, and he even fought hard in the war as well. He did so many things as a president that was great i could write a book, i wish he was back!katie bryant
David u the man and i totally agree with u! I don't think there was a great leader during WW 2 because no one today is remembered for their greatness. Those leaders are remembered as people who were sick minded individuals who were villians. However if i had to choose someone it would be FDR since for one he was the ruler of our country and also we won the war so it just adds up. JORDAN MURRAY
In my opinion the best leader in WWII was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was a great leader during WWII. He was president of the United States. He was a great leader because the day after him taking office as president, Roosevelt then asked Congress to pass a legislation which would gurantee that savers would not lose their money if there was another financial crisis. Forthe next few months, Roosevelt and Congress passed a series of important bills that attempted to deal with the problem of unemployment. To me and many other people, it felt as if all Roosevelt wanted was for the people of his country to be happy and to be fair.
Well Hitler was a very strong leader. He had very strong opinions and ideas of how a country should be run. His ideas were not always the best for the people of not morally correct but he was a strong leader and he fought hard and did whatever possible to insure victory for himself and his people.
I believe that the best leaders in WWII were Winston Churchill and FDR. They seemed to be the only ones that actually cared about the people they were leading. Hitler and Mussolini seemed to care more for their own personal vendettas.
i dont think that there were any great leaders. all of the leaders of the war had bad points. the only leaders that could have been good leaders where the ones of switzerland, spain, and portugal because they did not enter WWII!!-Malerie Hertzler
To Malerie: So you say the world would have been better off, if the United States wouldn't have entered the war?Maybe their leaders were scared, and did not dare to take a position, because they didn't know who would win?
I think that Great Britain had one of the greatest leaders. Winston Churchill was the only remaining power in Europe to stand against Hitler's Nazi Germany. He encouraged his people never to give up and fight until the bitter end. In the end, his hopes and promises were justified. -Billy Roan
