I think that the biggest tragedy during WWII is the Holocaust. This is because throughout it, 11 million people died. And roughly 1.5 million children lost their lives out of those 11 million people.

The biggest tragedy during WWII was the Holocaust, where Jews were sent to the death camps and killed by Nazis. Most of them suffered and died through the use of poisonous gas. A total of 11 million people died.

The biggest tragedy to during WWII was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Because this tradgic day brought the United States of America into WWII.

i would have to say that the Holocaust was the worst thing during WWII. millions of people died because hitler thought they were contaminating his country. one of the worst facts about the Holocaust was that it went on for a long time and nobody knew a thing about it. there are still people today that believe it never happened despite all of the documents, witnesses, and even videos of things like the nazis dumping dead bodies into giant pits like they were dolls or something.

the biggest tragedy was the Holocaust. So many people that could have been something died in weird human experiements and gasing in the showers. This is probably one of the biggest tragedies of all time.

I think the biggest tradgedy was when pearl harbor was attacked. That is becuase some have said that roosevelt knew that the japanese planes had left ground to go attack somewhere but he did not think it was going to be pearl harbor. Although still i believe that he could of took more caution to keep from all the lives being saved from pearl harbor. It was also said that the U.S. was looking for a reason to get into the war. Which is why i think it was the biggest tragedy.

Sure, everyone says the biggest tragedy was the Holocaust, but I think it's worse that other countries knew something was going on and didn't do anything to try to stop it sooner.

I would say that the biggest tragedy during the war was the Bataan Death March. the Japanese went against the Geneva Convention of treatment of prisoners of war. 10,000 died on the 160 kilometer march to the camp, where even more died due to treatment by the Japanese.

at first, i'd have to say that pearl harbor was the biggest tragedy because it hurt our country and pushed us into the war, but overthinking it makes me realize that the holocaust was the biggest tragedy because it affected a lot more people and countries than pearl harbor ever did.

I believe that the biggest tragedy would be the holocaust simply becuase there were so many people killed just because of their religious beliefs. There is no reason why 11 million people should lose their lives no matter what. They didn't do anything to him!

Hey Ryan thanks for the facts! lol

I think the biggest tragedy during WWII was the Holocaust, because so many innocent people died.

I think that the biggest tradedy of WWII was the Holocaust. I also think that the the US going to war was necessary becasue if we wouldnt have gone to war so many more innocent people would have been killed. I am pacifist and do not believe in violence, but when inncoent people are getting killed war is needed to save their lives.

The German - The whole war was full of tragedies. The biggest tragedy was probably the Holocaust. This act of genocide by Nazi Germany caused the deaths of estimated 6 million people (most of these Jews, but also other minority groups, disabled, political opponents etc.)
The Holocaust was a pure, unreasonable act of brutality and insanity that still shocks people all over the world.

how bout the fact that millions died during the WAR. it was all a tradgedy...the whole war itself. not just the holocaust, but mostly the holocaust...i mean yeah that was extremely terrible but to think that that was only a deficit of the lives lost during the WWII time period.

The biggest tragedy was probably the Holocauast mainly because of how many people died. There were an estimated of 6 million Jewish people who were killed. There were an estimated of 1.5 million children that were murdered. The big problem that caused the Holocaust was due to Adolph Hitler whom blamed the Jewish people for everything.

The greatest tragedy of WWII is that Harry Truman thought it neccessary to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in order to win the war. The second greatest tragedy was doing it again.

No doubt that the Holocaust was the biggest tragedy during the war. It kiled over 11million Jews and 1.5 million children. It was the most sicking, cruelst event in world history. Being cremated, gassed, and tortured for beliveing in a religion was un humane. It left a dark, deep mark on history.

I think the worst thing that happened in WWII was what happened to the jews. the holocaust and that so many jews were dying. and they knew it was comming but they couldn't do anything about it. like the train rides to the concentration camps.

The Holocaust was the biggest tragedy during the war. The reason why is beacuse ther were maybe 6 million jews, people that were just killed because of who they were.
